Junior Achievement (JA) is a volunteer-delivered, Kindergarten-5th grade program that fosters work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills. Each grade level's program is designed to use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential. See below for the topic taught at each grade level.
The program consists of five, 45-minute lessons that have been prepared by the JA organization to teach children about themselves and the world around them through discussions and activities relating to careers, money management, and the function of government. Volunteers are asked to attend a 1-2 hour training session prior to presenting the lessons in the classroom.
